ho ho hum...

So, the other day, someone from the front office came to me and said, “We need to know something interesting about you that most people don’t know.” The plan was for these interesting tid-bits to be announced in front of the whole assembly to see if anyone could guess who was being talked about. “Really?” I said, “I am the most boring person I know, except, I guess, that’s not a little known fact.” In fact, my co-workers had already been polled and no one could come up with anything beyond, “Susan really is funny.” I can hear the announcer with THAT one: “This teacher is funny, it’s just that no one knows it.” So I was left to come up with something interesting about myself, and even *I* had to think about it and get back with her. Sigh. I really am boring. Now with that groundwork laid, I’ve decided to challenge myself and come up with a few things that might be interesting about me. Just in case it ever comes up again.
Without further ado, here are the Top Twenty Interesting Things About Susan:

20. When I was 19, I got a job at a bagel shop. Up until then, I had never had a bagel.
19. I’ve backed into cars, ditches, and/or mailboxes over five times.
18. In 9th grade, I was nicknamed “Hot Lips.”
17. For a while, I was certain that I’d grow up to be an archaeologist.
16. I volunteered at a nursing home and once ran down a visitor thinking that they were a run-away resident.
15. I was saved in “Sin City,” Las Vegas. Once I was called, I read the whole Bible in a week and then had to go to a library to find out what denomination I was.
